who is southern belle & son?

Southern Belle & Son is Kayla Kirkland (aka @bluebirdcage). A Mississippi native livin in north London.

Southern belle's bake history began at the age of seven with a partiality to boxed brownie mix & a wooden chair taller than herself. Several years down the line (23 to be exact), and several inches to her height later (two feet to be approximate), the Mississippi darlin bloomed into a self-taught, non-boxed brownie baking kind of gal. 

Aside from the occasional office-space treat, the southern belle has helped bake for various fund-raisers (large breed dog rescues), high profile birthday parties, a fashion blogging event thrown by ASOS.com (as seen on Park & Cube), and most recently represented Topshop in Elle Magazine's Bake Off competition judged by Gizzi Erskine.

For all her serious baking, her bakes suddenly went viral due to one infamous creme egg cupcake. Getting 17,500 views in the span of a week and 18,600 views to date.

From southern USA to the south of England, the belle has come to put some south in your mouth.
